LOCATION

DMGroup’s headquarters are located in Boston, MA. This role will be based out of our Boston office, with flexibility to work from home up to three days a week based on schedule.


ABOUT THE POSITION

DMGroup is hiring a Project Manager for its Breakthrough Results team. The Project Manager helps steer the Breakthrough Results program and its district partnerships toward success by leading and managing internal processes and external coordination to ensure all stakeholders are making meaningful progress towards shared milestones with efficiency and urgency.   
 

HOW YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME

  • Manage complex and nuanced projects from start to finish.
    • Effectively and efficiently manage and complete tasks for both short and long term projects with a keen eye towards high impact results.
    • Customize templated project plans to meet the nuanced needs of individual partners.
    • Identify dependencies and hold others (laterally and vertically) accountable to meeting deadlines as outlined in each project plan.
    • Support the efficiency of senior members of the team by providing project summaries and communicating the most salient and actionable takeaways.
  • Develop and sustain high impact relationships
    • Build credibility and trust with all stakeholders including but not limited to: internal leadership, district leadership, school staff, and our community of Performance Coaches.
    • Serve as point of contact for several work streams and workflows.
    • Establish strong working relationships with all team members through regular interaction and engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external partners
    • Draft and disseminate key information to a variety of partners including internal team members, K-12 school district leadership, and part-time consultants
    • Serve as the “go to” for all logistics pertaining to assigned projects.
    • Summarize and communicate progress to project goals verbally and in writing.
    • Design and develop materials (e.g. presentations) that clearly and effectively communicate project processes, impact, and outcomes.
    • Develop and maintain meeting agendas, notes, and action items.
    • Ensure accurate and timely response(s) to key questions from a variety of audiences.
  • Systems leadership and development
    • Employ existing systems to proactively gather and disseminate information in a fast paced, changing environment.
    • Identify pain points or inefficiencies and provide sustainable solutions that support scale and continued growth.
    • Leverage new and existing technology (Zoom, Zoho, GSuite, internal tools) to maintain highly efficient operations while seeking innovative approaches to nuanced challenges.
    • Navigate ambiguity while maintaining focus on driving results.
  • Other duties as reasonably assigned.
 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate should have/be able to:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in project management
  • Proven track record of managing a high volume of complex projects in changing environments
  • Able to break complex problems down into bite-sized deliverables
  • Experience creating and delivering high quality reports, and identifying and addressing problems early
  • Skilled in relationship management
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
 

SALARY & BENEFITS

  • The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000.
