Responsibilities - Essential Functions and Skills
Campus Operations & Customer Service
- Serve as the primary point of contact and face of campus for students, families, faculty, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
- Manage daily administrative operations, correspondence, and supply management.
- Oversee front desk operations, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries and requests.
- Maintain a professional and organized reception area and campus facilities.
- Partner with SSC leadership to develop and strengthen relationships with local businesses, schools, civic groups, and community organizations.
- Represent SSC at community events, fostering connections and promoting programs.
- Support fundraising, donor engagement, and special event activities in collaboration with the Advancement team.
- Manage basic campus bookkeeping, including processing payments, and tracking petty cash.
- Monitor and reconcile campus expense budgets, ensuring compliance with SSC policies.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports as needed for leadership.
- Work closely with the Executive Director, Artistic Director, and other SSC leaders to align campus operations with institutional priorities.
- Serve as the campus liaison between faculty, staff, and administration.
- Support cross-campus coordination and consistency in operations, programs, and services.
- Bachelor’s degree in arts administration, business, communications, or related field preferred; relevant professional experience considered.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in customer service, office management, or community engagement.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across diverse groups.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM or student management systems preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with public speaking and representing SSC in the community.
- Availability for occasional evenings and weekends for events or programs.
Important Information
- The salary range for this position is $55k annually - eligible for over-time.
- This job operates in professional environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. The job may require going out in the field on the South Shore of Massachusetts for other teaching and/or performance opportunities.
- This position is mostly sedentary outside of travel. This would require the ability to sit at a desk, frequent walking, bending, or standing as necessary.
- Designated days and schedule will be primarily <enter information> though will also be based on the needs of the operation and business, requiring some weekends, nights and early mornings.
